What I Eat

food trip - going to places, eating food, having fun.. almost everytime alone. :-P

this is the story of my adventure with one of my favorite things in the world, food!!

If you have stories/rumors about good food around, please share it with us. ^^ You can leave your contact in any of the disqus comments (I will still have to find a good tagboard, sorry -_-)

More of Taiwan cuisine ;-)

On our second day in Taiwan, we decided to visit the ever famous Taipei 101 (presumably the tallest tower before the tall one in China was built).  For our dinner, we went down to the mall on the foot of the tower and had authentic Taiwanese fast food haha..

Since I sooo love Chinese food, it was so hard to choose which booth to try (add to that, my growling stomach).  I finally gave in to this huge set meal, complete with veggies, chicken, rice and soup.  My colleague went out to try some dimsum so I had to have a taste of those as well.

Food price in Taiwan is a really cheap deal.  I was able to get mine for approximately 300yen.  After indulging the huge meal, I remembered that the pearl milk tea that I used to love back home is a special in that country so I bought myself a glass too.

All in all, the experience was good.  I am sure not most of tour groups let you eat in a food court (for lack of finesse and quality).  But eating with locals, mingling with them is just what real traveling is all about.

Taken last Summer August 2011.  Taipei 101.
