US is the land of cheap food and free flowing beverages.  And yes, I had been a witness to that fact during my stays in the land of milk and honey (make that land of free flowing milk and honey).  Food there is really cheap and in huge amounts.  Almost choked?  Don’t worry! They give you unlimited supply of drinks.  That is the US for you.  It’s something I wish were here in the land that I am currently living in.

After my 10 hours flight to San Francisco, my former officemate fetched me from the airport and brought me to this nice and cozy looking coffee shop in San Jose.  Now, my brain was still in Yen that time, and my price perspective is still Tokyo-ish.  Having seen the prices of their buns and coffee made my droopy eyes grow bigger.

A bun costs $2.00 (almost 200 yen but for such size, it would cost double if bought here in Japan).  They have tons of varieties of coffee.  I couldn’t get myself decide which one to get to.  It was all good.. and it was all serve as you may.. Ahh.. heaven.

I didn’t recall how much damage it costed us for the breakfast but I was assuming it didn’t cost more than $15 perhaps.  And take note, that is already for 3 person. Made me wish food was cheaper here in Japan too.. But what do you expect??
